Vidlak Wins Two in a Row!

Jeff Vidlak won Saturday at the Nettle Creek Open. Jeff shot a 4 under par net 67 to capture his second title in as many tournaments. Jeff was on fire from the start with a birdie on the first hole. He never looked back after that as he cruised to a 5 shot win over second place finisher Craig McDuffee who finished with a 1 over net 72.

While the field was small Jeff certainly made a lot of money. We had five players registered for the tournament so the payout was $425 to Jeff Vidlak while overall he took home a total of $685 for the day of golf.

Jeff Vidlak Wins!

Jeff Vidlak went into Sunday with a 2 shot lead were he and Ty Collins went back and forth on the front nine. They continued their battle going into 17 when Jeff left his tee shot short of the green and Ty left himself 15 birie putt. Jeff chipped up to about 10 feet leaving the door open for Ty.

If Ty birdies and Jeff bogies the lead is down to one going to the 18th hole. Ty missed the birdie putt and Jeff sank his 10 footer to maintain his 3 shot lead going into the 18th hole. That putt put the tournament away and Jeff played it safe and bogied the 18th hole for a 4 shot win and a two day total net 150, 6 over par for the win.

Jeff kept it in play on the front side while it was raining and then started to separate himself on the back, that was until 17 and 18. Jeff went double - double to bring Ty Collins and Craig McDuffee back into the tournament.
