Vidlak Wins Second Straight Tournament

Wow the weather really makes it exciting around Chicago. It was storming early Saturday morning, placing our round in question. Were we going to get more rain or a thunder storm? Then just like they say just wait a minute and the weather will change. Sure enough the skies cleared up and it got hot!

The best part of the day as usual is golfing and that didn't disappoint. Nettle Creek Country Club has flip flopped their nines which I feel makes the round better. Their short par 4 ninth hole is a good birdie chance and puts a premium on your second shot to get it close. Some of the long hitters may even be able to put it on the green with a perfect drive.

Craig McDuffee started out strong on the front nine and took a 1 shot lead at the turn. However that lead quickly disappeared after the 10th hole. He had trouble off the tee and was magnified as he continued on that hole. That is when Jeff Vidlak took control of the tournament and he never looked back. No one mounted a challenge so when Jeff stumbled on 16 it wasn't enough to bring anyone close enough to be a concern.
