Tour Championship - Kishwaukee Country Club
Well we are coming up on our last tournaments of the inaugural season of America's Golf Tour. The Tour Championship will finish off the season with a new twist. Not only will we have a two day championship to crown our tour champion but we will also have two - one day tournaments for those of you who can't make both days. Our goal is to give everyone a chance to play one last tournament with America's Golf Tour this year. A player who is entered in the tour Championship may also participate in the one day tournametns for an additional $75 each day.
With 20 golfers our Tour Chammpion will earn $1200 for their efforts. If you are an Amateur your winnings will be limited to $750 per the USGA rules for Amateur play. While first place with 20 players can earn the Tour Champion $1200 for their weekend the player finishing last in the money will earn $395 provided there are no ties for that position.
We know that the weather is starting to cool off but we have a unique experience being able to play Kishwaukee Country Club on a weekend. With this private country club you will get to play one of the oldest courses here in Illinois and experience golf like the shot makers of old use to play. While there are long holes this tree lined golf course will make you think about the risk and reward with many shots throughout your round. Kishwaukee just opened their state of the art practice facility that you will have access to before each round to warm up along with their driving range.
Kishwaukee has held the Illinois Senior State Championship in its recent past and has always proven to be a fair challenge to golfers of all lengths and abilities. We are working with membership on practice rounds for you and will let you know the details soon. While DeKalb is within driving distance of Chicago, but if you need a hotel room there are several in the DeKalb and Sycamore area with St. Charles within 25 miles.
We at America's Golf Tour look forward to having everyone come out and experience a great course and the Tour Championship. With 1000 points up for grabs to this champion you could still earn enough points to qualify for a 2010 America's Golf Tour membership!
Register today for your chance to be the first Tour Champion in America's Golf Tour history. Do forget about our one day tournaments as well. Register for the Kishwaukee Net Championship on Oct 10 and the Kishwaukee Open on Oct 11 too.
